Alerts & Notification Configuration
Configure alert rules, notification channels, and per-vehicle preferences.

The Notifications module configures what events trigger alerts and how they are delivered. Notifications are delivered via Web Push (browser) and Mobile Push (app) channels.
Alert Types
| Type | Trigger | Example Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Ignition | Engine turned ON or OFF | Detect unauthorized starts, track working hours |
| Geofence | Vehicle enters or exits a geofence zone | Delivery arrival tracking, restricted area breach |
| Over Speed | Vehicle exceeds configured speed limit | Safety enforcement, speed policy compliance |
| Power | GPS tracker power connected/disconnected | Detect device tampering or removal |
| Alarm | Device SOS, tamper, or panic signal | Emergency response, security alerts |
Configuration Steps
- Open Notifications from the sidebar
- In the Basic section, toggle per-vehicle alerts: Vehicle (master switch), Ignition, Alarm
- In the Over Speed section, configure speed threshold alerts
- In the Geofence section, configure zone entry/exit alerts
- Select notification channels: Web Push and/or Mobile Push
- Click Save
Per-Vehicle Preferences
Not every vehicle needs every alert. Customize per vehicle:

| Vehicle | Master on/off switch for all alerts on this vehicle |
| Ignition | Ignition ON/OFF event notifications |
| Alarm | Device alarm/emergency notifications |
| Enabled | Overall notification enabled state |
Alert Severity
- Critical — requires immediate attention
- Warning — informational, non-urgent
Where Alerts Appear
- Dashboard — Recent Alerts widget
- Notification Bell (header) — dropdown with unread count badge
- Maps — Vehicle Dock > Events tab
- Vehicles — Vehicle Detail > Events tab
- Reports — Alert Report
Warning
Alerts only fire when the device is connected and sending telemetry data. If a device is disconnected, no alerts will be generated.
